Seattle welcomes Michael Mayfarth , a graduate from Washington State University, to the position of field engineer.

San Diego welcomes Katie Condon in her position as Administrative Assistant and a welcome back to Steve Williams. Steve has been working for some time in our Los Angeles office, but has now transferred back to San Diego.

Oakland welcomes Amy Ware and Simon Burnworth, both recent Cal Poly graduates, to the positions of Project Engineer and they also welcome Wendy Wang, a recent Washington State University Graduate, to her position as Design Engineer.

CJA welcomes Sandeep Talluri, a recent graduate from Texas A&M to the position of project engineer.

CJA has been awarded a contract to perform Soil Nailing for the Devils Slide tunnel approach portal by Kiewit. The Caltrans work on Hwy 1, Pacifica, CA is expected to start in October 2008.

CJA is installing micropiles for Shimmick Construction at the North Anchorage of Golden Gate Bridge, Marin County, CA.

CJA is completing a Rock Anchor and Tieback project in Roseville, CA for Teichert Construction. The Caltrans project is on Hwy 80.

CJA is completing a Stone Column project at the Soledad, CA Waste Water Treatment Plant for Shimmick Construction.

CJA is starting a General Contract for Caltrans in Auburn, CA on Hwy 49. The project involves a Soldier Pile and Tieback Buttress and associated civil work.

CJA is completing a CIDH Buttress and grade beam project on Minorca Way, Millbrae, CA under general contract to the City of Millbrae.

CJA is performing Phase II of the Sycamore Canyon Slide Repair, Santa Barbara, CA project under General Contract to Landslide Repair Foundation LLC.

CJA is performing ongoing Soil Nailing and CIDH work for CC Meyers on the Yerba Buena end of the Oakland Bay Bridge. Work is expected to continue until April 2009.

CJA is performing Caltrans emergency slide repair work under force account on Hwy 169, in Humboldt County for Mercer Fraser Construction.

CJA is performing Phase II of a project to install Drilled Shafts on La Sierra Ave for the City of Riverside. The work is being performed under subcontract to Ortiz Construction.

CJA is completing a Tiedback Shotcrete shoring project under subcontract to McKenna Construction in the City of Irvine at Culver and Trebuco.

CJA will be performing a drilled shaft project for the Sepulveda Off Ramp, Hwy 105, in Los Angeles. The Caltrans project is being performed under subcontract to Beador Construction

CJA has started a project to install Drilled Shafts for the LaBrea and LaCienega Bridges on the Mid City Light Rail Project in Los Angeles, CA. The project is being preformed as a subcontract to FCI/Fluor/Parsons JV.

CJA has secured a General Contract with Golden State Water Company for tank protection at their Baldwin Hills facility. The work involves construction of a design/build permanent retaining wall.

CJA is working on a Permanent Tied Back Wall at the Rancho Bernardo Bus and Rapid Transit Station in Rancho Bernardo, CA for FCI Constructors.

CJA is installing 2450 SF of Soldier PIle and Lagging and 102 drilled shafts at San Diego City College under subcontract to Rudolph & Sletten.

CJA is beginning work on 24,500 SF of Soldier Pile and Lagging in a Joint Venture with Nicholson Construction at Block 75 in Salt Lake City, UT. The JV is subcontracted to Big D Construction.

CJA has secured subcontracts on I-15 Unit 2 in San Diego, CA. The North contract is for Coffman Specialties and involves 5,700 SF of Permanent Soldier PIle Wall and five (5) foot diameter shafts. The South subcontract for FCI Constructors involves 3,200 SF of Soil Nailing and 3,500 SF of Soldier Pile and Tiebacks.

CJA is installing 38 eight (8) and ten (10) foot diameter shafts with Rock Sockets at the Hwy 52/67 Interchange in San Diego, CA. The Caltrans project work is being performed for Yeager Skanska.

CJA is the General Contractor for a project at Nathan Hale High School, in Seattle, WA. The project for Seattle Public Schools involves augercast piles and site work

CJA has a subcontract with ICON Materials to install Soil Nails and a Soldier Pile and Tieback wall. The WSDOT project on SR 900 in Issaquah , WA is due to start in November 2008.

CJA has initiated a subcontract with Kenny/Shea/Traylor JV to install soldier piles on King County’s Brightwater project in Woodinville, WA.

Positions are available in all four CJA offices, Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego and Seattle.
